June 17, 2017 • 5PM - 9PM

Join the Portland Coffee Social Club in collaboration with Junior's Roasted Coffee and Buckman Coffee Factory, as we host the 2nd Annual & 1ST fully independent, locally-organized PNW AeroPress Competition at Guilder (2393 NE Fremont) - the newest Portland cafe serving coffee brewed on AeroPress!

In 2017, we're bringing you an AeroPress brewing competition unlike any other!

Based on feedback from competitors in the 2016 PNW Regional & US National events, we’ve decided to introduce some positive improvements to areas where other AeroPress events/parties have been lacking.

Portland Coffee Social Club & Junior's Roasted Coffee believe coffee professionals should be treated like professionals - so this competition will have calibrated, palate-qualified judges & a score card!

For this event, we’re also scrapping the keg to bring you classier libations.

Brew your way to victory, and win lodging and Registration expenses for the USAC in Seattle!*

Competitor brackets will be limited to the first 27 who register. Bring your own AeroPress and brewing gear (we'll provide filtered water, and your competition coffee).

Competitor Registration opens Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 10:00am PST. $20 to compete.

Competitor Registration is available here: Eventbrite

This event is FREE for spectators but please RSVP by registering for a ticket on Eventbrite.

*Details are subject to change, so please come back for more info (including Rules & Regulations, Code of Conduct, and additional Prizes) as we approach the event date.

*This event is not affiliated with the international AeroPress championship circuit, and is not a "qualifying regional" event. First Place prize will include Registration fees which can be used for the USAC, and lodging expenses via airBNB, which can be used to stay in Seattle, if the winner so desires. The winner is responsible for their own registration to compete at the US national event, if they choose to. We fully endorse unity in the PNW Coffee Community, and encourage competitor registration at both our indie event and the "qualifying regional" event in Bellingham, WA.
